This is a powerful testimony by Anita Blanton. She is a reporter and fill-in anchor for WRIC TV 8, Richmond Va. As a former Miss Hampton University, Anita is a proud alumna of her “Home by the Sea.” She graduated from the Scripps Howard School of Journalism and Communications with a bachelors of arts in Broadcast Journalism and Political Science.
In her spare time, Anita enjoys reading, writing, singing, listening to music, traveling and spending time with friends and family. But, her heart is attached to her community involvement. Anita has won numerous awards for her community service. She has volunteered and served as a spokesperson for several organizations, and created many mentoring groups for pre-teens and teens in Virginia and Texas.
